Report Descriptions
The following reports are available for pick up through the secure web site for diabetes and congestive heart failure:

Performance Indicators by Physician (2000/2001 and 2001/2002*)
These performance indicators show:
- The number of patients with diabetes or congestive heart failure, from their respective registers, attached to the most responsible physician.
- The numbers and proportions of each doctors patients receiving care according to current guidelines.
Note that the registers are only about 90 per cent accurate and that 100 per cent performance is NOT obtainable. The importance of the measures is not in their absolute values, but in changes over time and the comparisons they allow. The information is derived from fee-for-service billings and hospital abstracts.
* The 2001/2002 Performance Indicators for congestive heart failure are not yet completed.

Registers for Each Physician (2000/2001 and 2001/2002)
For each doctor, a listing of their own patients who have been identified from the administrative data as having diabetes or congestive heart failure. The registers are estimated to be 90 per cent accurate and can form the base for the development of completely accurate registers within the doctors office. Registers updated to 2003 are under development. |
Corrections to any register should be e-mailed to Teleplan@hibc.gov.bc.ca.
Additional reports will be made available through the secure web site as the data analysis is completed.
Data for newly registered users is loaded twice per month, on the 15th and last days of the month. When you receive your new userid, it may be up to two weeks before your data is loaded to your account.
If you are already a registered user, you may go directly to the login page for the secure web site. Once you have logged in, select "Pickup Reports" to see what files are available for you.
