Massage Therapy
The College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia is the regulatory body established for the health profession of massage therapy. In 1994, Cabinet approved the Massage Therapists Regulation which designates massage therapy as a regulated profession under the Health Professions Act.
The composition of the Board of the College is as follows:
- 6 elected registrants; and
- 3 public representatives appointed by the Minister.

The following is a list of proposed changes to the bylaws of the College of Massage Therapists and the Massage Therapists Regulation. Immediately following is a second table listing approved changes to the bylaws and the Regulation. Changes to the Regulation and to bylaws that require Cabinet approval are subject to a three-month notice period unless the Minister specifies a shorter period. Comments should be submitted to the Ministry within the notice period. The full text of the bylaws and proposed amendments to the bylaws may be obtained by contacting the College.
