Nurse Practitioners

In August 2005, the Nurses (Registered) and Nurse Practitioners Regulation established the College of Registered Nurses of B.C. (CRNBC) with the authority to regulate Nurse Practitioners (NP) as a new category of Registered Nurse. The new Regulation was implemented on August 19, 2005:

  • The Registered Nurses Association of BC (RNABC) became the CRNBC and continues to set standards and regulate the practice of registered nurses. For more information, visit their website at CRNBC.
