Drug Data Files
Change to Table Layouts August 1, 2007: Please note that the three-character alpha manufacturer codes were recently replaced with numerical codes up to six digits. This required a change to the layout of the Alternative Drug Categories and PharmaNet Drug Master files. For specific information on the change to the data positions in these files, please see the updated Table Layout information.
The drug data files provide information on the benefit status
of various drug products. The files contain data such as drug
names, chemical names, benefit
groups, pricing information, etc.
The PDF and ZIP files are created at
the beginning of each month and uploaded to the website approximately
one week later. The date of the upload is included on the title
page of each PDF report.
Changes have been made to the layout of these files and explanations for the data have been clarified. Please refer to the table layout page for each file (see links in the Contents menu to the left) for full information on current file contents.
IMPORTANT:
- Only drugs transmitted on PharmaNet and adjudicated by PharmaCare
are listed in the files.
