Child and Youth Health
The Child and Youth Health Branch is responsible for stewardship for services provided for children and youth through our partners in health. We provide direction and support, and monitor and evaluate health service outcomes for children and youth. We do not provide health services.
We plan, develop standards, guidelines and healthy public policy and communicate them to our partners.
Ensuring that all BC children and youth reach their full potential is the shared responsibility of all British Columbians.
We collaborate with stakeholders and support them so their services are consistent, coordinated and sustainable.
BC's programs for children and youth focus on health promotion and primary prevention.
