Radiation Protection

The BC Centre for Disease Control, under the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is the organization which helps British Columbians protect themselves and others against the hazards arising from sources of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation through the provision of leadership, advocacy and expertise on radiation protection matters falling under provincial jurisdiction.

The BCCDC has put together information on electromagnetic fields, lasers, microvaves/radiofrequency, radioactivity, ultraviolet radiation and x-rays.

More information on Radiation Protection  can be found at the BCCDC website. Additional information can also be found on related Health Files which are hyperlinked from the right hand navigation bar on this page.
